For the past few
years I have been working in a freelance capacity on diverse projects
including print
work for Corus Steel, interactive work for International
SOS, Rocco Forte Hotels and the book
publishers, Macmillan. I do work
for Envy Design - a book packaging company based in London and
design
a 16-page bi-monthly French partwork called “La
Route Bleue”
for Editions Cobra in Paris.
London
Up until May 2003 I worked as a Senior Interactive Designer for Publicis
Networks, the interactive arm
of the Publicis Advertising Agency in
London. While employed there I was given the opportunity to
design
everything from ‘business to consumer’ websites for Renault
UK to informational websites such
as the ‘New Deal’ site
- a government initiative carried out for the Department of Works & Pensions
aimed at the unemployed.
In 2000, while employed at Publicis
Networks, I was given the exciting opportunity to design the
official
website for the launch of the Euro currency in Europe for the European
Central Bank in
Frankfurt. This large-scale project, which received ‘Most Effective
New Product Launch’ from
the
Financial Services Forum 2002, was aimed at all the countries of
the Euro zone and appeared in
11 languages. The site was deemed a great
success by the European Central Bank and was visited
by some 300 million
users worldwide over the period leading up to, and after, the launch
of the
Euro in January 2001.
